I can't see anything wrong with a politician responding to attacks. That is why I am bemused by the silly outrage over "Attack Watch". Obama isn't going to let attacks go unanswered, and that is smart. Every politician needs to heed the lessons of John Kerry. There is a slight difference between a candidate responding to public attacks himself and a candidate promoting people to rat out others for criticizing him. It is doubly bad when said candidate was supposed to promote hope, unity, and other such platitudes.
But thanks for you input, Mr. Axelrod. Did someone report the Eye to Attack Watch?

Not to mention the tone and imagery are just a wee bit creepy for a sitting president. It's like Nixon putting his enemies list online and coloring everyone in red.
Or like Steve Buscemi in Happy Madison.
